The PWHPA All-Stars Will Be Shining in Ottawa!

The PWHPA, in partnership with Canadian Tire and the Ottawa Senators, have announced details surrounding their first-ever all-star event, set to take place in Ottawa on Sunday, Dec. 11. All four PWHPA teams will also play regular season games in Kemptville, Ont. and Gatineau, Que. on Dec. 9, and at Canadian Tire Centre on Dec. 10.

The All-Star event will see top players from the PWHPA compete in a skills competition and 3-on-3 tournament at Canadian Tire Centre, home of the Ottawa Senators. The Canadian Tire PWHPA All-Star Fan Vote will allow fans to vote for one All-Star player from each team, without regard to position. The top vote-getter from each team will be named as the four Captains of their respective team. Voting starts today (click here) and ends Sunday at 10 p.m. ET.  The four captains will draft their starting line-up from a pool of 40 additional PWHPA All-Stars, to be selected by PWHPA players, coaches and staff. Tickets for the all-star festivities and regular season games at Canadian Tire Centre can be purchased via Ticketmaster starting on Nov. 17. PWHPA Insiders will have the opportunity to purchase presale tickets on Nov. 16 by signing up for the newsletter here.

...and live on TSN & RDS!

The PWHPA, Canadian Tire Corporation (CTC), TSN, and RDS today announced Canada’s Sports Leader will be the official broadcaster of the upcoming CANADIAN TIRE PWHPA ALL-STAR Weekend, in partnership with the Ottawa Senators live from the Canadian Tire Centre in Ottawa, Ont. on December 10 and 11.

Coverage begins on Saturday, Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. ET with two regular season Secret® Dream Gap Tour games as Team adidas goes head-to-head with Team Sonnet on TSN, TSN.ca, and the TSN app. The game is followed by Team Harvey’s facing off against Team Scotiabank at 7 p.m. ET. French language coverage of both games is available on RDS.ca and the RDS app.

All-Star festivities take the ice on Sunday, Dec. 11 at 12 noon ET on TSN, RDS, TSN.ca, RDS.ca, and the TSN and RDS apps, highlighted by a round-robin tournament of six, ten-minute 3-on-3 games, with the final two teams competing in the All-Star championship.
